MARIA ... my daughter

well this is my treasure ... my daughter Maria! She´s six years old now and I love the picture I used as reference ... I always had in mind to paint her, but have never done so ... until now ... ... this painting is a special birthday-present for a very special person ... Maria´s grandma ... I hope she´ll like it ...

I used some color pencils and lots of acrylics on heavy watercolor paper ...

... and this time I took pics of the different "stages of production" ... I´ll be submitting a detailed tutorial / step-by-step in the next few days ... so stay tuned ...
