i´m kind of proud for this one. though some parts could be even better (like the lips and the shiny skinparts), i think this is one of my best. it´s the first pencildarwing after a longer time, and it seems that i haven´t forgotten how to draw with pencils. unfortunately i tried to put too much detail in it, the shiny skinparts are not that good, but the eye is execllent to my opinion. and though this scan is ok. the original is much better! when you take a quick look on it, you can think it´s a photograph.
the picture i used as reference is of the famous french top-model laetitia casta. i bought a print acount, so i´ll be submitting some of my better works to it in the near future. if you´re interested in buying a print of this drawing, you can please come back again in a few days (i´m trying to figure it out how this whole thing works)
materials i used: pencils (3H - 8B), white paper (used a new one, but it was allmost a desaster, cause i often thought it would tear apart, though it´s of high quality)
as allways comments and favs are appreciated
this was my last submission for today, now i´ve got to get back to my drawing table, to make something new. ´til then
many greetings

had to resubmit this one, cause somehow it had an par. adv.
I know the original picture and I have to say: It looks exactly like yours. You did an excelent job....and DON'T talk about the bad things "I'll be watching you from now on"
Oh I agree, this is one of your best...and it really does look like a photo.... so well done... once again you have taken my breath away with all your pics... I just have to fav this one too
You did that by hand? *looks at current shading project*..... *and then at yours... sigh* Anyway, despite my jealously it is stunning. I don't think all the shine loks bad. Actually that's why I clicked on the thumbnail.
thank you very much for the comment - maybe you´re right, but you should know that i am a perfectionist, as most artists are, so a slight mistakes hits me like an aeroplane! a big mistake, well then the drawing has to die (i´m exaggerating a bit!)
That's a really interesting effect you used on the skin. I love how black those strands of hair are and the contrast it provides with the rest of the face. And the eyebrow - as obscure as it may seem - I thought was really well done. Amazing.
